Decision Analysis Society

INFORMS Conferences

The Decision Analysis Society would like to invite you to chair a session or submit a talk related to the practice and/or theory of decision analysis at the INFORMS 2017 Annual Conference to be held October 22-25, 2017, in Houston, Texas.

Sessions are 90 minutes in length and may comprise three to five presentations linked by a common theme or may include short presentations followed by a panel discussion. Presentations do not need to be accompanied by a formal paper.

Session chairs are responsible for finding speakers, encouraging them to submit titles and abstracts in a timely fashion, and chairing the session during the conference. Session chairs may present in their own session, but this is not required.

We welcome any submissions that are relevant to decision analysis. Potential topics for sessions include, but are by no means limited to: probability elicitation and aggregation, forecasting, behavioral aspects of decision making, decision processes and organizational challenges, group decision making, risk analysis, preference elicitation, utility theory, game theory, social choice theory, graphical models, value of information, data and decisions, decision analysis education, as well as applications across domains such as health care, energy, environmental studies, military, policy, etc.

If you would like your talk to be considered for the 2017 Decision Analysis Practice Award please put "(Practice)" in the title of your talk. You may learn more about the DA Practice Award here. For questions, please contact Greg Hamm, chair of the 2017 DA Practice Award.
If you are interested in organizing a session or giving a presentation, please contact cluster co-chairs Andrea Cadenbach and Saurabh Bansal. We would like to have session chairs in place by mid-March and all speakers arranged by the end of April, in order to meet the INFORMS deadline of May 15th for final abstract submission.
