INFORMS News: Winter Simulation Conference 2011

The 2011 Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) will be held in Phoenix, Ariz., Dec. 11-14 at the Arizona Grand Hotel. The conference is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation. WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers and vendors working in all disciplines in industrial, governmental, military and academic sectors.

The theme for WSC 2011 is “Simulation for a Sustainable World.” WSC 2011 will also incorporate the MASM (Modeling and Analysis for Semiconductor Manufacturing) Conference, the leading modeling and analysis conference for global semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain operations. The INFORMS Simulation Society will sponsor a Ph.D. Colloquium on Dec. 11 – presentations will be solicited in the fall.

The Arizona Grand is located six miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on the doorstep of 17,000 acres of South Mountain Preserve, the largest municipal park in the world.
