CIST 2014 set for San Francisco

The INFORMS Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST 2014) will be held Nov. 8-9, in San Francisco in conjunction with the INFORMS Annual Meeting. The theme of the conference is “Bridging Communities Through IST (B-CIST).”

The conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. Hal Varian (chief economist, Google). It will also include a distinguished panel by Piero P. Bonissone (chief scientist, GE Global Research), Robert Stackowiak (vice president, information architecture and big data, Oracle) and Jeff Welser (director of strategy and program development, IBM).

Conference organizers invite original research in all areas of information systems and related fields that seek to address a broad range of issues related to the conference theme with novel ideas, methodologies and findings. The deadline for submissions is June 15. CIST co-chairs are Sudip Bhattacharjee, Ram Gopal, H.R. Rao and Sanjukta Das Smith.
