Societies and Sections
Communities are independent bodies that bring together people who share special technical interests or geographical locations. You can join as many communities as you wish -- getting involved is an excellent way to network with your peers.
In This Area
INFORMS societies are the flagships of the INFORMS communities. The societies are significantly larger than the sections, chapters, or fora, and focus on a common theme.
INFORMS sections are technical interest groups devoted to advancing the professional interests of members in specialized and technical aspects of our profession. Sections are smaller, focused bodies of INFORMS that offer you the chance to meet and work with professionals who are interested in a specific area of operations research and management science.
