Topics:

Vehicle routing and home delivery
The vehicle routing problem is a big topic in operations research literature. Why are these problems so hard to solve? Why is it so hard for businesses that deliver to the home to stay in business? We will go over the fundamentals of these problems and discuss the basics of solution ideas. (Elementary)

Logistics of disaster relief
One of the emerging topics in research logistics research is the logistics of disaster relief. Why is it so challenging to get products where they need to go after a disaster? Why is it so different than what businesses do on a normal day? We will discuss how disaster and non-disaster delivery problems differ and highlight some recent research efforts. (Elementary)
