Dr. Triantaphyllou has been an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Louisiana State University. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant Professor for four years at the same university and also as an Assistant Professor at Kansas State University for three years. While at KSU he received the Outstanding Teacher Award in 1993. He also has worked as a computer consultant at Penn State. He has published numerous research articles in decision making, and in the interface of OR and computer science. His research work has appeared in Decision Support Systems, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, OR Letters, ORSA/INFORMS Journal on Computing, Computers and OR, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, Journal of Global Optimization, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Computers and Industrial Engineering, International Journal of Production Research, and Journal of Approximate Reasoning. Dr. Triantaphyllou has made more than 30 invited presentations at international and national conferences and has organized seven invited sessions at conferences in OR/MS related subjects. He has also served in the program committees of a number of conferences, the editorial boards of three journals, and as the 1995-1997 Chair of the INFORMS Speakers Program.
