Reliability, PHM, and Machine Learning

INFORMS-QSR and ENBIS Webinar Series Presents: Reliability, PHM, and Machine Learning
Reliability is a critical measure of performance of engineering systems such as pipelines, spacecraft, telecommunication networks, transportation systems, petrochemical refineries, and nuclear power plants. Paradigms for reliability assurance include probability based approaches, prognosis and health management (PHM) methodologies, and the recent machine learning based approaches. Advances in physics based modeling, sensor technology, and data processing algorithms have enabled online non-invasive assessment of the health status of engineering systems in operation. This talk will provide an overview of the evolving reliability theory, prognosis and health management, and recent advances in machine learning for reliability assurance.
