IASTED International Conference on Alliances, Mergers, and Acquisitions

Firms use alliances, mergers, and acquisitions to acquire new resources, expand their capabilities, and to strengthen their position in their competitive environment. In the last decade, the business community has had the opportunity to observe the effects of these devices across many industries. While very promising, alliances, mergers and acquisitions are complex, and have often led to undesirable results. The aim of this conference is to act as a forum for the exchange of information and experiences among experts from academia, business, and government on this interdisciplinary subject. The conference will be organized as three parallel symposia; the first on Finance, Accounting, and Economics, the second on Management and Human Resources, and the third on Law.
