INFORMS Hosts More than 7,000 Operations Research and Analytics Experts in Seattle
CATONSVILLE, MD, November 6, 2019 – INFORMS, the largest international association of operations research (O.R.) and analytics professionals and students, set an organization record at its 2019 Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington last month. Academic and industry professionals from around the world made up the largest meeting in INFORMS history consisting of 7,330 attendees, which is a more than 18% increase from last year.
INFORMS hosted researchers doing groundbreaking work in the fields of healthcare, disaster preparedness, transportation, security, politics and more. Recent work has graced the covers of Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Hill, Consumer Reports and many other outlets.
The INFORMS Career Fair brought in thousands of prospective employees for companies like Lyft, Ford, Discover, T-Mobile, FedEx and countless others.
Keynote speakers came in from Amazon and Microsoft to name a few.
INFORMS is now preparing for its Business Analytics Conference in the spring that will be held April 26-28, 2020 in Denver, Colorado.
