The INFORMS Strategic Listening Series brings together INFORMS members and invited voices from the OR/MS, Analytics and AI communityto share perspectives, surface insights, and inform better decisions about the future of the field.
Natter is a third-party platform for live, structured one-on-one conversations. Participants are matched for brief discussions around questions provided by INFORMS, and conversations are transcribed and analyzed using AI to identify themes across participants.
Through live one-on-one Natter discussions and an asynchronous Natalie AI conversation, participants will have the opportunity to share perspectives on key opportunities, challenges, and priorities shaping the future of INFORMS, the OR/MS community, and the field more broadly. Contributions will help identify emerging themes, inform future programming and strategic priorities, and ensure member and community perspectives are reflected in INFORMS’ ongoing work.
What to Expect When Participating in a Natter Session
Natter is a third-party, web-based platform that brings participants together for structured one-on-one conversations. INFORMS uses it to hear a range of perspectives and identify shared themes and insights.
If you participate in a live Natter session:
- A Natter account is required. You will need to create or use a Natter account to participate.
- You will have structured one-on-one conversations. Participants are matched for a series of brief conversations around questions provided by INFORMS.
- Conversations are transcribed and analyzed. Natter uses AI-assisted analysis to identify themes, patterns, and insights across all conversations.
- Your privacy matters. According to Natter, personal identifiers are removed before conversation text is analyzed, findings are not attributed to individuals, and conversation data is not used to train its AI models.
- INFORMS uses group-level findings, not individual responses. The findings help us understand perspectives across the group and inform future planning and potential next steps. They are not used to evaluate individual participants.
- Participation is voluntary. We want you to understand the experience and feel comfortable before you register.
