2017 INFORMS Conference on Business Analytics and Operations Research

Analytics 2017 (The INFORMS Conference on Business Analytics and Operations Research) (http://meetings2.informs.org/wordpress/analytics2017/) is the one analytics conference that consistently delivers proven applications and processes that will improve your business’s bottom line. This conference happens from 2 to 4 April 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The deadline for abstract submission is 15 January.

Analytics 2017 will bring together nearly 1,000 leading analytics professionals and industry experts (executives, analysts, managers, researchers, data scientists, modelers, etc.) to share ideas, network, and learn about a range of current topics.

The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP 2017)

The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Technical Committee 7 arranges conferences on several topics of Applied Optimization, such as Optimal Control of Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Modelling and Simulation, Inverse Problems, Nonlinear, Discrete, and Stochastic Optimization and Industrial Applications.

The next IFIP 2017 conference will be held during July 17-21, 2017 at the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. More information can be found here http://iam.metu.edu.tr/ifip17

INFORMS Healthcare 2017

The goal of INFORMS Healthcare 2017 is to bring together academic researchers in “healthcare analytics” and industry stakeholders who are applying this research to share information and improve the delivery of effective healthcare. The health sector is catching up fast but still lags behind other industries such as airlines, hotel chains, and retail in the adoption of systematic and quantitative analysis used in decision support, and this conference will help to bridge the informational gap. The conference aims to bring a cross-cultural view of healthcare systems worldwide and the research and applications designed to improve these systems in areas such as:

  • New methods associated with defining value in healthcare
  • Incorporation of O.R. and industrial engineering in healthcare delivery
  • Intersection of healthcare and public health to provide a more “population” perspective on value
  • Medical decision making
  • Computational optimization
  • Patient wait time guarantees
  • Effective use of electronic health records
  • Delivering healthcare in developing countries

Contributions in synergistic fields are also welcome: healthcare policy, clinical decision making, global health, therapy and treatment delivery, public health, and health informatics.

The INFORMS Healthcare 2017 will be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands during 26-28 July. More information about the conference can be found on:

Winter Simulation Conference (WSC

The Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation.  In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers, and vendors working in all disciplines in industry, service, government, military and academic sectors.

After 50 years, we are now beyond Modeling and Simulation using Grid and Cloud computing, Web-based and distributed simulation and other recent technologies. We need to deal with computing power and storage in heterogeneous environments, resources virtualization; services consumed on demand (with minimal limitation for resource location), power issues, massive datasets. We face new challenges as we have ubiquitous processors that can process applications on demand. WSC 2017 focus is on addressing how to achieve the goal of having Simulation Everywhere!

April 7th and April 28th are the deadlines for full paper submission for contributed and invited papers. Also, the deadline for case studies and PhD colloquium is 18 August. Winter Simulation Conference will be held during 3-6 December in Las Vegas, NV. You may find more information about this conference here: http://meetings2.informs.org/wordpress/wsc2017/
