Connections at INFORMS

Expanding Your Network

By joining INFORMS, you have grown your network by thousands. Our community includes researchers, industry professionals, thought leaders, students, and more. Building connections with your fellow members is one of the most rewarding aspects of membership, both professionally and personally. Here’s how to do it.

INFORMS has smaller communities-within-the-community called Societies, Sections, Chapters, and Forums, which are based around professional interest areas, geography, or personal identity. Joining communities that align with your interests is a great way to find your people within INFORMS.

Join Communities

Our online member platform is the place to ask questions, share resources, and find directories. On your personalized home page, you can follow the latest discussions in your communities, access quick links, and see all upcoming events.

Use INFORMS Connect

Each spring and fall, enrollment opens for a new session of Mentor Match. We help mentees find a mentor who suits their needs, set goals for their participation in the program, offer a sample roadmap that pairs can follow over the course of the five-month session, and check in with pairs monthly.

Try Mentor Match

Come to present your work, attend networking events, and collaborate with peers. We host several major conferences per year. INFORMS Communities also host conferences in various locations in the U.S. and internationally.
