Dr. Kleinmuntz is Principal at Kleinmuntz Associates, where he consults to hospitals and healthcare systems on advanced healthcare analytics. An established expert on business analytics, decision making tools and processes, and information technology, he also serves on the Board of Directors of Strata Decision Technology, a leading provider of financial analytics software to the healthcare industry. As a founder of Strata Decision Technology, he previously held a variety of executive positions, including CEO, CFO, CIO, and Chief Analytics Officer. Dr. Kleinmuntz has extensive experience with strategic and financial management applications of a broad range of analytical tools, including decision and risk analysis, statistical models, optimization, and other advanced analytical techniques that leverage information technology to improve decision making by complex organizations. He has consulted to hospitals, multi-hospital healthcare systems, and other healthcare organizations, and to a wide variety of other organizations, including the American Hospital Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arthur Andersen, Caterpillar, Deloitte, KPMG, Texas Instruments, and several government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In addition to his business experience, Dr. Kleinmuntz has held faculty positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the MIT Sloan School of Management, the University of Southern California, and the University of Texas at Austin. He was the founding editor-in-chief of the journal Decision Analysis, and has won awards for excellence in research, teaching, and professional service. Dr. Kleinmuntz is a Fellow and Past President of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences. A three-time graduate of the University of Chicago, he has a BA in Statistics and both an MBA and PhD from Chicago's Booth School of Business.
