INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has selected three finalists for the 2022 UPS George D. Smith Prize, which recognizes excellence in preparing students to become practitioners of operations research and analytics.

INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has selected six finalists for the annual Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Advanced Analytics, Operations Research and Management Science, the world’s most prestigious award for achievement in the practice of analytics and operations research (O.R.). 

INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has awarded the 2021 Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Advanced Analytics and Operations Research to researchers from the University of Pennsylvania and University of Southern California for their work to deploy a national-scale targeted testing system to allocate limited testing resources in Greece to screen visitors for COVID-19 at the border. The award was presented today at the 2021 INFORMS Annual Meeting in Anaheim, Calif. 

INFORMS, the largest association for decision and data sciences, has officially named 12 outstanding members as Fellows, one of the highest honors in the O.R. profession. The 2021 INFORMS Fellows will be inducted during the 2021 INFORMS Annual Meeting, Oct. 24-27, which will be held both virtually and on location in Anaheim, Calif. INFORMS Fellows are honored for their outstanding lifetime accomplishments and contributions in operations research and analytics.

Smith Prize. The award recognizes excellence in preparing students to become practitioners of operations research and analytics.

INFORMS, the leading international association for operations research and analytics professionals, has selected six finalists for the 50th annual Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Advanced Analytics, Operations Research and Management Science, the world’s most prestigious award for achievement in the practice of analytics and operations research (O.R.). 

INFORMS, the leading association for operations research (O.R.) and analytics professionals, has awarded the 2020 Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Advanced Analytics and Operations Research to researchers from The Pennsylvania State University, The University of Texas at Austin and University of British Columbia for their work to increase efficiency in product planning and supply in agribusiness. The award was presented today at the Virtual 2020 INFORMS Annual Meeting. 

INFORMS, the leading international association of operations research and analytics professionals, announced Dr. David Simchi-Levi, Ph.D., has been awarded the prestigious Impact Prize. Dr. Simchi-Levi is a renowned professor of engineering systems and the director of the Data Science Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the current editor-in-chief of the INFORMS journal Management Science and the past editor-in-chief of the INFORMS journal Operations Research.
