Effective teaching of operations research and management science (OR/MS) involves up-to-date and contextually rich pedagogical material and an engaging classroom presence. True teaching excellence, however, is evident when students are empowered to apply their knowledge to the complex challenges they encounter in their professional careers. Dr. Nelson Uhan exemplifies this standard of excellence. His leadership and mentorship within his department, together with his role in developing an extensive curriculum, have left a lasting mark on his students.
