Volunteer Service Award - Application Process

The Volunteer Service Award is awarded to recognize exceptional volunteer service to INFORMS between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020.

To be eligible for an award, you must:

  • Be a current INFORMS member (all classes of membership in good standing)
  • Have served INFORMS at least for the past year in a volunteer position
  • NOT be a current or incoming board member
  • NOT have been awarded the prize within the last three years 

The award committee will evaluate nominations by the following criteria:

  • INFORMS membership status
  • Impact within INFORMS
  • Engagement level within INFORMS
  • Time commitment of the volunteer service

Several awards will be given at three levels: Distinguished, Meritorious, and Service.

Nominations must be submitted online by June 30, 2020. Self-nominations are also welcomed.

All nominators are required to register in the site using their email address and choosing a personal password. The nominators' award credentials do not alter their general INFORMS credentials.
Nominators will complete basic information with letter of support for nominee.  The Nominee will then be sent an automatic email asking for more details related to their recent volunteer service.
